If you suspect that a certain food that you are eating may be affecting your baby, you will want to test that food to see if it really does affect your child. You will want to wait 21 days without eating that food and then try eating it again to see if there is a reaction. It will take 2 or 3 weeks for all traces of certain foods to pass from a baby and a breastfeeding mothers' body so that a good test can be done.
